PREFABRICATION

With its leading edge sheet metal production facility, Barnes & Dodge has the unique ability to provide prefabrication for almost every project. As opposed to onsite duct and fitting assembly, prefabrication offers the advantage of assembling ductwork sections in a controlled environment. Once a project has completed its BIM or overhead coordination, planning of prefabrication of ductwork can begin. With prefabrication, the following advantages can be realized:

Reduced on-site labor

Increased quality

Shortened project schedule

Increased modularization of components

Once completed in the controlled environment of our shop, prefabricated duct sections then travel on time to the field site as needed. The duct arrives in our covered duct carts or on specialized rigging assemblies that enable safe and efficient transport of the duct into the building.
